Will Work For Food

Yet again, we have had another schedule change. The usual Wednesday night Classic Rock show at Shorty’s has been canceled. That leaves only two shows per week, the Tuesday Blues show at the Junkyard, and the Friday Night Beach Party. At first, I thought “Cool! More time off!” but then I came to my senses.
So what’s next?

So we originally setup a 24/7 Jazz stream for Smooth. Then we setup a 24/7 Classic Rock stream for Shorty’s. Last week, we setup a 24/7 Blues stream for the Junkyard. So now we’re sitting back wondering… What’s next?

WOOHOO!!! We made it through the comeback week without too many casualties. Don’t dig around on the beach too much though… the bodies might be found. LOL
I don’t know about you, but I am SO READY for the beach party tonight. Set your alarms for 7PM (SLT) so you won’t forget to head over to the beach for the weekly wind down and welcome the weekend in style. Plan on being there for a while ’cause at 9PM we get Tata Time and if you’re like me, there’s not much that Tata Time won’t cure. *grins*

At the age of 80, the Queen of the Blues, Koko Taylor has passed away of complications from gastrointestinal surgery last month. You will be missed Koko. The blues won’t be the same without its’ Queen. Rest In Peace

That’s all I know to say… WOW. After being away for a month, and still having to deal with Drama Llamas while away, I was a tad aprehensive about coming back last night. Had I lost my touch? The Return of Insanity

Check your calendar… it’s June 2nd. Know what that means? Yup… the return of insanity at the Junkyard. So I’ve been gone from my regular gigs for almost a month now and it’s time for me to get back at it. Besides, stormy said that I’m driving her crazy so I gotta get back so I can drive ya’ll crazy for a few hours. So set your alarms and head over to the Junkyard at 5PM tonight to hear the best music ever recorded. DJ Jaeger Runo kicks things off at 5PM while I sit in my chair & give him hell, then I take over at 7PM and unleash the psychosis that makes up the second half of the best night at the Junkyard. Schedule Change and a Short Rant

Well, I tried to keep my promise to come back full strength after my “SL-cation” but I just couldn’t do it. I have some RL projects going on and I need the time, so I had to drop a show. Therefore, my return to DJing in SL won’t be until Tuesday, June 2nd at the Junkyard. Yes, that means I won’t be at Smooth. I do hate to stop my regular shows there, but with everything going on in RL, I just don’t have the time. There are a TON of great new acts at Smooth, both live artists & DJs so please stop by and show them your support. You WON’T regret it! I promised Maebh that as soon as I got a chance, I’d schedule something there. They are great people, and it’s a great place… I will miss my Monday nights there.
On another note, please allow me to step on my soapbox for a moment… Yesterday, without even being in SL, I get slammed via and IM that came to my email. Apparently, my previous post upset someone and they took it as I was insulting them. Read the rest of this entry »
